Earth Sciences New Zealand are very pleased to offer an opportunity for a summer internship hosted at our Te Whanganui a Tara Wellington office for uri of Te Āti Awa, Taranaki Whānui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika, Ngāti Toa Rangatira that are currently undertaking studies in biology or ecology.
This summer internship is our commitment to supporting our local Iwi and enable their rangatahi to build skills in biology and ecology while contributing to the care of a nationally significant marine collection. Working with over 350,000 taonga from Aotearoa, Antarctica, and the Pacific, they’ll gain hands-on experience that strengthens their career pathway and support Iwi aspirations in the Taiao.
The opportunity will start in November 2025 and run through for 3 months until February 2026 to coincide with the summer break for most students.
Applications will close on Monday 6th October.
