PETITION - To Wellington City Coucil. Māori stories and names matter, they belong here proudly, permanently, and visibly

Sep 9, 2025, 10:26 AM

Calling on Wellington City Council to install a second, information sign on Moturoa Street in Thorndon, just as they have done for Honiana Te Puni Street and Te Wharepouri Street. Moturoa is a name with significant Māori heritage, and it deserves the same level of recognition, explanation, and respect as other streets named after important Māori figures or places.

To Wellington City Council -

He Tohu Tuarua mō Moturoa

Click on the following link for the full information and why it is important to sign especially if you whakapapa to Te Rangikapuoho of Pipitea Pā.     Hey, I just signed - will you join me?
